In moments of hardship, even the smallest acts of kindness can feel like rays of light piercing through the darkest clouds. Project 38 of the Life is All Positive Kitchen was one such ray of hope—an effort that reminded us all that compassion and care can heal beyond medicine.
This project took place in Beed, Maharashtra, where 148 healthy meals were lovingly prepared and served to those in need. The initiative was led by the family of Shubham Sasane, with the heartfelt cooking of Shubham and Apeksha, who added a special touch to every dish. Along with four dedicated volunteers, they devoted 30 hours of effort to bring this food drive to life. Their selfless work was supported by the generosity of Deek Parassini, whose sponsorship made the project possible.
A major number of recipients of these meals were patients and families of COVID hospitals—people already carrying heavy burdens of illness, uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion. For them, these meals were more than food; they were comfort during difficult times, a reminder that someone cared, and that they were not forgotten in their struggles.
As the distribution began, the sight of volunteers handing each meal bag with love and a smile was a quiet yet powerful message: you are not alone. Every packet nourished the body, but it also carried with it compassion, dignity, and hope. Families who were drained by the challenges of health and survival found solace in the warmth of human connection.
Project 38 was not just about feeding the hungry—it was about holding space for humanity at a time when fear and uncertainty were widespread. It was about standing together, building bridges of kindness, and showing that true healing begins when we care for each other as a community. In the end, this initiative became a reminder that while medicine heals the body, it is love and compassion that heal the heart. Project 38 stands as a testament that even in the hardest of times, kindness has the power to spread light, strength, and unity. Together, we can all make a difference—one meal, one smile, one act of love at a time.
