Project 5: 2000 meals ,Veg Pulav, 12 volunteers, 30 hours

On January 22, 2024, we had the Life is All Positive Kitchen Project in Beed, Maharashtra, India. This is one of the largest projects we have tackled, since a lot of people were travelling to this city for a large religious event. To help them, we planned to prepare 2000 meals of rice pulav, and our lead cooks, Nitin, and team, made sure the food was healthy and delicious. We had the attention of 12 volunteers, basically, we planned to set up and prepare early morning, with every intention to serve food as long as we could throughout the day.

As travellers and passerby arrived in Beed, they were welcomed with warm meals and friendly smiles. Many had travelled great distances and were tired and hungry. Providing them with a rice pulav was both sustenance and comfort. The volunteers felt proud to serve and to witness so many faces return with joy. This project was a great example of how the work of many hands, and care, support and love, can be shared to many.
Being of service to others is the greatest gift from anyone, and that life’s is all positive.
