LIAP Kitchen Project 2

Maharaj Prajapati

Shubham Sasane

Patil family & Deek Parassini

Our 2nd project started out in order to help the children at Infant India, Manzari Haveli, Beed, Maharashtra, an HIV+ kids orphanage. The project provided the children 150 meals of simple, tasty, healthy pav bhaji and was cooked by and with the skills of Maharaj Prajapati, another individual who has talents venerating food. There were 13 volunteers and they worked with love and care, and spent over 30 hours together cooking and serving the meal. The hope was to make children happy, and feel cared for and full.

This project was sponsored by the Patil Family and, Deek Parassini, who provided some funding. The goal at the beginning was not simply to provide a food service, but to provide a message of hope, love and positivity. The children were very happy to receive their meals, and the volunteers left with joy in their hearts seeing the children’s smiles. This little act demonstrated the power of kindness and resounding impact of people coming together to create change, even if just in a small part of the world.
